ECO APARTMENTS

We take care of the environment at Calaceite and this is reflected in the construction of our apartments by applying the following ecological methods:

During the build we protected the Mediterranean Chameleon specie by creating an alternative habitat.

In the apartments:

• Toilets have a double flush system
• Environmental friendly paint and varnish was used
• Double glazing that insolates and saves in heating/cooling
• Pre-installation for ceiling fans to be used as an alternative to the air conditioning.
• Installation of electrical appliances that don´t use CFC and that have energy saving progams.

In the garden:

• - Landscaping; use of native plants in the landscaping and application of xeriscaping, species that consume less water.
• Drip irrigation.
• Garden lights with timers to make use of more daylight hours.

Colaboration with the Townhall of Torrox in:

• Application to the CEE for the bandera azul for the beaches of CALACEITE (a special certificate that is given to clean and well maintained beaches).
• Installation of containers for the recycling of waste.
