Spend the day at a market during your holidays to Andalusia, that´s possible, each day you can find a market somewhere in Andalusia. Street markets with vegetables and fruit, nuts, olives, toys but also clothing, shoes, linen, etc. There are also numbers of flea markets in Andalusia where you can find loads of stuff for little money.

You won´t find meat, fish or other products that need refrigeration at the Andalusia street markets. For these products they have "mercados", they are like warehouses with separate stalls, these warehouses are split into 3 departments: Meat, Fish and Vegetables & Fruit. Normally the "mercados" are open from 09.00-14.00.

From out apartment complex located in between Nerja and Torrox you can reach easy all street markets located in the Axarquía. But thanks to the A7 Coastal highway you can also reach in less then an hour the markets located in the region Malaga-Estepona.
