Transport methods after Airport Arrivals:

After arriving to the arrival hal at Malaga airport you have various transport choices in order to reach your holiday destination. You can choose from the following:

  • Malaga Car Hire: probably the easiest and quickest way to reach your holiday destination. Renting a car in Spain is relatively cheap, during some periods in the year you can even rent a car around 35 euros a week. We at Calaceite collaborate with Malagacar.com new window, a car rental company at Malaga airport. At the moment Malagacar is the cheapest car rental company with an excellent customer service and good new cars. You can even book you car online with Malaga Car without having to leave your credit card details.
  • Private transfers new window: book your airport transfer with a private transfers company new window. Nowadays you can book a private car for the same price as you would pay a normal taxi. Book before you leave and your driver will be waiting for you when you arrive in the arrivals hall.
  • Bus: you can use the public transport to get to Nerja. This is also the cheapest way to get to Nerja and Torrox, for just 4 euros you can get there. However, it will take you a while to get there, about an hour and a half. You will need to take the bus from the airport to Malaga and from there you can catch a direct bus to Nerja and Torrox.
  • Train: unfortunately there are no trains that go to Nerja or Torrox. You can only get to Malaga or Fuengirola by train from the airport. If you take the train to Malaga you can catch the bus to Nerja or Torrox from there (Station Maria Zambrano).
  • Airplane: National and International flights to Malaga Airport. There are direct flights from 106 locations to Malaga at very competitive prices.
