The advantages of this is that you don´t have to stand in long queues at the airport, when you land an employee meets you at the arrivals hall to bring you to your car. How can I book a car?

What "car group" should I rent?

All the car rental companies offer different groups of cars, mostly identified by letters, staring the Group "A" as the smallest and cheapest car.

If you are travelling as a couple, a Group "A" car is more the adequate. Examples of Class "A" cars are the Ford Ka, etc.

For 3 or 4 passengers it would be recommendable to rent a 5 door car, normally a group "C1" i.e.: Seat Ibiza, VW Polo, etc.

Then again for 5 passengers it would be advisable to rent a slightly larger car to accommodate for all the suitcases such as a Group "F" that offers cars like the: Ford Mondeo, Chevrolet Cruze, also very much sought after by business people travelling.

If you need more room for luggage or for your Golf bags there are other car groups that offer larger boots such as the E groups with cars like the Renault Scenic, Ford C-max, Seat Altea etc.

What extras should I need to add to my agreement?

Some companies rent out the cars with insurance and some with a basic insurance, in any case, the best thing to do is to ask about the insurance before booking. Find out if the insurance is included in the price. Often you will be offered the possibility to take out an extra insurance to cover the loss of keys, tires and windows.
Normally you have one driver insured in the agreement, if you are travelling with more drivers you will have to show the drivers licenses of the additional drivers to have them included in the agreement. Companies like Malaga Car, have an additional driver included in the rental price but some companies charge you extra.

You also have the option to rent things like a GPS System, baby seats, booster seats, etc. These are extras that are advisable to book when you book your car online.

Rent directly at the airport or at a company close by?

In general the companies that have offices in the Airport are more expensive than the companies with offices near Malaga Airport.
