For those who like Cherries, definitely should visit the day of the Cherry in Alfarnate celebrated the 23th of June 2012 (when we know the exact dates this will be published on our website). The event starts at 11.00 o´clock in the morning and is tradition since 2006.

There will be about 1600 kilos of cherries been given away! Thousands of visitors come to this event in Alfarnate. An enormous tent is put up where different producers of the area offer their products at affordable prices. Of course, everything can be tasted for free!

During this day there are musical and folkloric performances to entertain the visitors that come to the fiesta. Besides the cherries you can taste and buy, you can also try traditional local dishes such as “sopa cachorreña” or “olla”, etc

Alfarnate is located at less then an hour drive from Torrox and is easy reached by taking the A7 in direction of Velez Malaga, at Velez Malaga take the A-356 in direction Vélez-Málaga/Viñuela/Colmenar/Zafarraya.
